The proposed project involves construction of a new 1.88-acre public park at 7100 Walker Avenue, including playground equipment with rubberized safety surfacing, outdoor fitness equipment, shade structures, a prefabricated restroom/office building, a detention basin, a 20-space parking lot, walkways, park lighting, and an entry monument.
Ganddini Group prepared a focused traffic study, a noise impact analysis, and a combined air quality, greenhouse gas, and energy impact analysis in support of the project’s review with the City of Bell.
The studies found the project would generate minimal traffic with no significant impacts, and construction noise and air quality impacts would be less than significant with standard best management practices.
The park has since opened to the public, with the City holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and is now undergoing a subsequent phase of drainage improvements.
