About Ganddini Group
Built on integrity, shaped by every community we serve.
Ganddini Group is a California-based technical consulting firm specializing in traffic engineering, transportation planning, noise, and air quality/GHG/energy studies, with an emphasis on CEQA documentation and local development review. Our team of licensed engineers and environmental specialists works as one integrated group, so when a project touches more than one of these disciplines, it doesn’t have to be coordinated across separate firms.
Our Story
Ganddini Group was founded in 2018 by Giancarlo Ganddini, PE, PTP, after years of hands-on training at notable engineering firms. From that experience, he found larger firms offer technical depth, rigorous quality control, and the ability to take on complex, multi-disciplinary work. Smaller firms offer direct access to senior staff, faster turnaround, and competitive pricing. He set out to build a practice that combines both.
Since then, Ganddini Group has served 900+ projects across 195 communities, building working relationships with planners, engineers, architects, developers, landowners, property managers, and public agencies across California. Headquartered in Santa Ana, we continue to grow those relationships the same way we started: by applying our expertise with integrity, and by making sure our work leaves a positive mark on the communities it touches.
Our Mission
Our mission: bring integrity, context, and practical judgment to our work, helping developers and agencies move projects forward in ways that ultimately build stronger communities.
Our Approach
Three commitments on every project.
01
Integrity
We give agencies and clients the same straight technical answer, whether or not it’s the one they were hoping for. That honesty has built trusted, lasting relationships with clients and agencies, year after year. It’s why we hold ourselves accountable not just to the client who hired us, but also to the community the project will actually affect.
02
Context-sensitive
No two sites, jurisdictions, or review standards are the same. Every service is tailored to the specific conditions in front of us; refined by what we’ve learned on similar projects and shaped around what the project actually needs. As regulations and agency expectations evolve, so does our work.
03
Practical Solutions
We scope every engagement and mitigation measure around what a project actually needs, proportional to actual impact and grounded in what can realistically be implemented. Over-mitigating can put a project’s budget and feasibility at as much risk as under-mitigating it.
Leadership Team
Giancarlo Ganddini, PE, PTP
Founder/Principal Traffic Engineer
Giancarlo Ganddini is a Registered Traffic Engineer in the State of California, a nationally certified Professional Transportation Planner (PTP), and a Past President of ITE (A Community of Transportation Professionals) for both the Western District and Southern California Section.
Katie Wilson, MS
Senior Air Quality Analyst
Katie Wilson focuses on air quality, greenhouse gas, and related environmental studies for public and private development projects throughout California, and holds a Master of Science in environmental toxicology.
Roma Stromberg, MS
Senior Noise Analyst
Roma Stromberg specializes in noise and vibration analysis, including measurements, acoustical modeling, regulatory review, and mitigation development, and holds a Master of Science in environmental management.
Qualifications & Technical Standards
Our senior staff bring over 100 years of combined experience supporting projects at every stage, from early planning and due diligence through entitlements to operational review.
Transportation
Our licensed engineers and transportation planners work daily with the Highway Capacity Manual, Caltrans Highway Design Manual, AASHTO’s Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets (“Greenbook”), the California MUTCD, the ITE Trip Generation and Parking Generation Manuals, and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Shared Parking method. This technical knowledge is supported by industry-standard software, including Vistro, Synchro/SimTraffic, TransCAD, Highway Capacity Software, and the ULI Shared Parking Model.
Noise & Air Quality
Our environmental analysts prepare acoustical modeling, regulatory review, emissions inventories, greenhouse gas/climate analysis, air dispersion modeling, and energy consumption studies using Sound32, TNM, SoundPLAN, RCNM, the FHWA Traffic Noise Prediction Model, CalEEMod, AERMOD, EMFAC, and CALINE.
Where We Work
Headquartered in Santa Ana, in the heart of Orange County, we serve public agencies and private clients across California and beyond.
Community & Involvement
Ganddini Group regularly sponsors and supports the ITE Western District, the ITE Southern California Section, the ITE UCI Student Chapter, and the Orange County Traffic Engineering Council (OCTEC).
